Scientific Category: Master in Comprehensive Care for Women.   WORK EXPERIENCE:  -1990 -1993: I worked as a resident in the speciality of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the “Ana Betancourt de Mora” Maternal and Child Provincial Hospital in the city of Camagüey. At this stage, I performed more than 3,137 deliveries between eutopic, dystocic and Cesarean, as well as 523 Gynecological Surgeries, among them Salpingectomies, Oophorectomies, Abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies, Anterior and Posterior Colporrhaphy, etc. Also fulfilling with the study plan of the resident of the speciality. -1994 – Sept1997: Period in which I did the postgraduate as a First Degree specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Municipal Hospital “Armando Enrique Cardoso” in Guáimaro; carrying out their teaching-assistance activities related to the speciality; as well as the performance of Obstetric and Gynecological Ultrasonography. During this period, I performed 5,389 obstetric and gynaecological ultrasounds, 4,021 deliveries and 635 gynaecological surgeries, as described above, I also taught 4th and 6th-year medical students and residents of the speciality of MGI, and I saw 8032 patients with various gynaecological pathologies, preconception reproductive risk, family planning and prenatal control. -October 1997-2000: At this stage, I return to the Camagüey Provincial Maternal and Child Teaching Hospital “Ana Betancourt de Mora” to continue carrying out the teaching-assistance activities of the speciality. Working for 2 years in the Labor and Delivery Room, carrying out all the activities related to this service and supervising compliance with the unit’s rules and protocols. Performing more than 12 daily deliveries and 4 daily obstetric surgeries from Monday to Friday during the 2 years, I also stayed linked to the Radiology Department, performing more than 4021 obstetric and gynaecological ultrasounds. 2001- February 2006: During this period, I worked as a Basic Work Group Teacher (GBT) in Primary Health Care at the Santa Lucia Beach polyclinic in the Nuevitas de Camagüey Municipality I moved due to personal and maternity situations. I stayed linked to the Regional Hospital of Nuevitas “Martin Chang Puga”, performing the medical shifts and surgical activities and the teaching-assistance activities of the speciality. During this period, I gave about 24,000 Primary Health Care consultations and, during the Hospital shifts, I attended to all the gynaecology-obstetric complications that presented as ectopic pregnancies, retroplacental hematomas, eclampsia, labour inductions, delivery dystocia, dysfunctional uterine haemorrhages Among others, I also performed emergency ultrasound in cases that needed it. -April 2006 – October 2010: I moved again to the Province of Camagüey to work at the “Ignacio Agramonte” Comprehensive Teaching Polyclinic of the Camagüey municipality as a GBT Teacher. In this work centre, the fundamental activity was based on Primary Health Care in the speciality: Prenatal Control, control of preconception risk, Family Planning, Attention to the Uterine Cervical Cancer Program, gynaecology consultations and performance of gynaecology-obstetric ultrasounds, with a total of 30 120 consultations, I also remained linked to the medical guards at the Provincial Hospital of Camagüey, performing an average of 13 to 14 deliveries and 3 gynaecology-obstetric surgeries in each weekly medical visit, the main complications were the bleeding placenta previa, the fetal distress , eclampsia, ectopic pregnancy, labour dystocia, labour induction failure, abruption placentae, among others. -November 2010 – December 2012: At this stage, I served as a specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics abroad, in South America, in Bolivia. With a satisfactory evaluation of my performance, I provided services to more than 5376 patients with different gynaecology-obstetric pathologies, I attended more than 2,100 deliveries and about 600 gynaecology-obstetric surgeries, as well as countless gynaecological and obstetric ultrasounds. 2013 – February 2017: During this stage, I worked in the Department of the Maternal and Child Program (PAMI) of the Provincial Health Directorate of the province of Camagüey as a Provincial Gynecologist, being this period of great work and professional experience related to the administrative control and control of compliance with the different programs and work protocols of the speciality; Also during this time I served as a Teacher of the Basic Work Group (GBT) in the Polyclinic “Tula Aguilera” and in two Maternity Homes in the province; In addition, I remained linked to the medical guards and surgical activities of the Camagüey Provincial Maternal and Child Teaching Hospital. With a total of 31,150 consultations, I attended 5,032 deliveries and performed 717 gynaecology-obstetric surgeries: ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, rectocystoceles, ectopic pregnancies, caesarean sections, bilateral partial salpingectomies, among others; I continued to perform gynaecology-obstetric ultrasounds on each day of medical on call with a total of 2304. -March 2017 – Present: I worked in an internationalist mission of medical collaboration of aid and humanitarian cooperation in the Regional Hospital of Farafenni, in the Mayor Health Center of Soma and Bwiam Hospital in Gambia, Africa; performing as the main gynaecologist, assuming care, educational and surgical activities. So far, I have seen more than 21,350 patients with multiple gynaecology-obstetric diagnoses and innumerable complications of pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium, the most frequent being: anaemia, eclampsia, severe pre-eclampsia, retroplacental hematoma, ectopic pregnancies, fetal disturbances, uterine ruptures, malformations congenital, preterm birth, twins pregnancies, vaginal infections, sexually transmitted diseases, female genital mutilation, maternal malnutrition, poor or no prenatal care; I performed a total of 1224 surgeries between major and minor, including caesarean sections and bilateral partial salpingectomies as a method of family planning and gynaecological surgeries; the total also includes gynaecology-obstetric ultrasounds with surprising diagnoses.   POSTGRADUATE PASSAGE RECEIVED: December 1, 1993: Postgraduate Course on “Introduction to Comprehensive General Medicine”.
